Eight of the world's best teams competed in front of a crowd for their share of the $1 million prize pool, from 16 to 22 March 2026. For reference, that's roughly R17 million at the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate.

Previously, for many years, most of the biggest international LAN events have been dominated by teams from the LCK. At First Stand 2026, that changed.

Chinese powerhouse squad Bilibili Gaming topped Group A in spectacular fashion, beating FEARX in a 3-2 slugfest, before sweeping G2 Esports under the rug with a very clean 3-0. In Group B, the South Korean squad, Gen.G Esports, didn't lose a single game, beating JD Gaming and LYON with 3-0 scorelines, making their presence felt.

In the Playoffs Stage of First Stand 2026, Bilibili Gaming took out fellow Chinese team, JD Gaming, with a 3-0 sweep. On the other side of the bracket, G2 Esports stunned onlookers as they beat Gen.G Esports with a 3-0.

In the First Stand 2026 Grand Final, G2 Esports drew first blood to go up 1-0. However, Bilibili Gaming bounced back with vigor to win the next three games in a row, and thereby, the Grand Final with a 3-1 score.

Congratulations go out to Bilibili Gaming for lifting the coveted First Stand 2026 trophy and claiming the lion's share of the huge prize pool. Their toplaner, Chen "Bin" Zebin, earned the MVP award in the Grand Finals.
