Watching the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) action unfold at BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 has been incredible thus far, with the Closed Qualifiers seeing 32 teams compete for only eight spots in Malta for the LAN Finals.

To say that sparks flew might be an understatement, as upset after upset rocked the CS2 esports world. Team Liquid smashed Team Vitality 2-0, Team Falcons got taken out by 100 Thieves, and DENDELE CS (formerly known as Sharks Esports) managed to knock out FURIA in the first round of play. Yes, all that really happened...this is not a dream.

Considering all the upsets, BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 might be one of the most exciting in recent memory. For us South Africans, Team Liquid making it to the LAN Finals is particularly thrilling, with local legend Johnny "JT" Theodosiou now captaining the squad.

The LAN Finals features a single-elimination bracket format, with a BO5 Grand Final, and all other matches BO3. It runs from 30 July to 2 August 2026.
