The best 32 Street Fighter 6 players in the world duked it out in Paris, France, as part of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 mega-event. It was an incredible, fast-paced spectacle running from 29 July to 1 August 2026, where fighting game esports history was made.

After the first Group Stage saw the field get whittled down to just 16 players, we saw the young 15-year-old Chilean player Jaime "Craime" Bustos from Team Falcons lose 1-3 to Leshar in his opening match of Group B. One loss away from elimination, Craime soared, beating gachikun 3-0 and Micky 3-0 to secure a spot in the Playoffs Stage.

In the Quarterfinals, Craime overcame the two-time Capcom Cup winner and one of the favorites at EWC 2026, MenaRD, with a 5-3 score, then went on to beat Yamaguchi 5-3 in the Semifinals, and Hibiki 5-2 in the Grand Final to lift the coveted trophy.

Keep in mind that the top eight also earned their share of the Club Championship points on offer, and that Craime earned 1,000 Points to put Team Falcons back on top. He has also earned a direct invite to Capcom Cup 13.
