The PUBG Battlegrounds at the EWC 2026 mega-event was a sight to behold, delivering thrilling Battle Royale action throughout.

A total of 24 Squads (Third-Person Perspective) competed for their share of the $2,025,000 prize pool. That's roughly R35 million at the current exchange rate. The action took place in Paris, France, at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles venue from 21 to 26 July 2026.

Eight teams fell in the Group Stage, with the likes of Made in Thailand, Team Falcons, NAVI, T1, Twisted Minds and Virtus.pro making their presence felt. In the Grand Final of the PUBG Battlegrounds event at EWC 2026, one team took and maintained a commanding lead.

Throughout all 18 matches, Virtus.pro proved too stalwart and composed, as they ended up winning with a total of 159 points to claim the trophy. Nino "NIXZYEE" Mikec was awarded the Sony MVP title (along with an additional $25,000 prize) after leading the tournament with 33 kills and 32 knockdowns. Congratulations!

Honorable mention goes to Vietnamese squad The Vicious Esports, which made a massive leap on the final day, jumping from 6th to 2nd place after winning Game 18 with 11 eliminations.
