This is the iOS and Android version of the uber-famous Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, the battle royale that made the genre what it is today. Although the game has lost ground on other platforms, it is still untouchable on smartphones.
And there’s a good reason for this continued popularity: the fast pace of new releases. The latest is Metro Royale, which has become a total hit with players.
This event, which has been available for some time now, combines battle royale and the Metro universe, another titan of the first-person shooters with a survival twist that has made for a perfect fit.
Metro Royale mode completely changes the PUBG Mobile premise, giving it an air of the Escape from Tarkov games and a new goal: instead of surviving whatever is thrown at you, now you have to plunder and escape.

The challenges will come in the form of human enemies, AI enemies, final bosses and even radioactive areas that will be activated if you choose the most difficult mode, which obviously also offers juicier rewards.
There’s no long-term final goal and the interesting thing about Metro Royale is to collect equipment in an endless cycle to earn the NPCs’ trust and uncover more and more secrets.
A vicious circle that will get any player who tries it hooked and that puts a new spin on the traditional battle royale, taking it in a new direction that makes the format that made this genre a hit even more interesting.
It is clearly inspired by other benchmarks, but can still bring the PUBG mechanics and fresh take, combined with the setting of the Metro saga in an unexpected yet very welcome symbiosis.
The most interesting aspect of the game is deciding how much to risk on each incursion. You can take good weapons with you in an attempt to win it all or just the bare minimum, even though it may not be enough.
Knowing that you lose all your equipment if you lose the battle gives it an extra level of tension that players looking for a more demanding mobile experience will surely be thankful for.
